OnePlus unveiled the smartwatch and its flagship OnePlus 9 series smartphone back in March. The wearable device is available in two versions, the Classic and the Cobalt Limited Edition. The company previously announced the release date for the Cobalt Limited Edition, and now its price has been officially announced at $1,599, which will go on sale on May 17, 2021.
This pricing is almost 60 percent higher than the classic version of the smartwatch, which retails for $999. Similar to the classic version, the OnePlus Watch Cobalt Limited Edition will be made of 316L stainless steel, but will also feature a cobalt frame. Another new feature includes a sapphire glass overlay surrounded by a gold polished round dial. Likewise, the wearable will come with a leather and Viton strap.
It’s worth noting that even the retail box for the cobalt limited edition features a new luxury design. While there are aesthetic differences between the two models, the device’s specifications and internals remain the same. The watch will still feature a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 454 x 454. coupled with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.
